SUPRIYO GUPTA is a leading communications consultant, entrepreneur and media specialist with over a decade of experience in journalism and over 25 years of public relations consulting to India’s leading companies and a host of Fortune 500 firms. Over the past decade and a half, he has built two leading public relations firm, including Torque Communications. Supriyo founded Digilogue Communications, a digital venture with investment from Silicon Valley investors.
During the course of his career, Supriyo has advised for extended period of time clients ranging from Shell, Saab, FedEx, Maruti-Suzuki, Suzuki, Myntra, Dell, Airtel, United Breweries, Escorts, Gillette, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Toyota, McDonald’s and more. He has extensive experience in consulting on brand communications, energy policy, crisis management, automotive sector, e-commerce, corporate, food and beverage, government affairs, defence, mergers and acquisitions, digital communications, social media, investments, social sector and impact investments and policy advocacy.
Supriyo has a M.Phil in International Politics from Jawaharlal Nehru University and is a gold medalist from Jadavpur University in Political Science. After completing his pre-doctoral thesis, he entered the portals of journalism, covering both business and politics in a career that spanned a decade. Starting as a reporter at Newstime in Hyderabad from the Eenadu Group, Supriyo’s grew to become Features Editor of The Observer of Business & Politics.
